Refresh no so refreshing Everytime I refresh so I can load in articles to read on my phone they never load in. I always have to wind up having to log out and log back in for it to update my list. Please work on fixing this bug.

Super buggy; has potential I love readability on the web. I want to love it on my phone. Two bugs prevent me from using it as much as I would like to: 1) it doesn't download new articles reliably. You can still re-download *all* the articles via the settings menu, but who wants to do that? 2) when you reach the bottom of an article, it automatically goes to the next one, robbing you of the opportunity to read the last paragraph. How about you just let me decide when to go to the next article?

Did not seem to work as I expected I installed this on my phone. Refresh the Web page I was viewing which was a slideshow type article. It did not work. I did open this app though, it wanted me to sign in. That's all I need, another account. Why not just save the article on my phone, in local storage? I uninstalled it.

don't bother downloading: constantly crashes, freezes my device You'll notice that there aren't any recent reviews- I don't think that they've updated this app for new versions of Android. It causes my device to freeze when using the share link in Firefox & it doesn't fully load my reading list. Just use readability within your web browser- there it works perfectly. Just like it does on desktop

Broken Just keep flashing with "checking for updates". Not showing reading list at all, not even the welcome article, which does show up on my pic browser. Terrible.
Mitchell Lunafish
Good idea, poor implementation I found an article on my pc that I wanted to read later on my phone. However, no matter how much i refresh, the article is a no show on the app. It shows up on the website but not the app. Fix this and you may have yourself a 5 star rating...

Buggy, but good idea I have a bit more than 100 articles in my collection and I love the formatting of Readability. Though the app is rubbish from time to time: when I come out of airplane mode (i.e. regain internet) it crashes. It also doesn't download new articles when I drag down the list to refresh, but some random time later when the background service decided it's time. Furthermore, when I rotate the device I lose my progress in the article. And when I come back to an article after other tasks, there's just a loading anim

Had potential, but why always running background service? Useful to save pages on Chrome desktop and read them later on the app. Two key issues: 1. The constantly running Readability background service sometimes eats 30% of battery, even if I've never opened the app. 2. scrolling down an article, it will jump to the next article when the bottom of the current one is reached. This is annoying. I don't know when an article will finish, so I ALWAYS have to scroll back to the original article to finish it.

So so The app doesn't crash for me, or freeze my phone, but it definitely is very slow in downloading newly added articles from the reading list. I keep telling it to refresh, but it just doesn't seem to notice the article I added a few minutes ago, despite the fact that it is visible via the web interface... Most of the time it takes *hours* to download it! Apart from that annoying fact works ok for me.

Upstaged by their own web app! Readability is an essential service. It makes aggregation and consumption of content a breeze. I also consider it essential because Chrome lacks the"reader" mode iOS Safari users enjoy. This so has has problem though. It doesn't sync with the reading list in a timely fashion. It can take hours for a newly added article to appear in the app but it's available on the mobile website immediately. This is backward. Users prefer native apps because they're faster and more stable than web apps.

Good, Until I had Syncing Problems Readability on the desktop is great, and this app was working great until I added a few new articles (10) to my desktop reading list. The new articles are there in the desktop version, but won't sync to my Nexus 4. The phone app updates the articles I have archived, but not the new unread articles I've added via the desktop. Tried the pull-down refresh method, and logging out and back in multiple times, but nothing seems to work. I'd rather not have to find (and export all my articles to) a new reader, but Readability is pretty useless to me if I can't use it on my phone.

Just Awful I send items from the desktop and they don't show up. Items in my list won't load. I sent a support email and the response back was basically "yeah, we have sync issues with Android." REALLY? I knew that already, that's why I sent the email -- tell me something I don't already know. When will it be fixed? Save yourself aggravation, use Pocket. (giving it 1 star because I can't give it a ZERO).

Good app but still has bugs So it's a great so for reading articles of the web and it does clear the junk out. The bug comes with the syncing, I see an article on my laptop browser, use the addons to copy the article to my readability list. I see it on the server, I open the app on my tablet and phone, is not there. I sync it, refresh, click download all articles nothing. It's been a 3 hours on one article, 5 mins on the other, neither one. This is annoying because I can see the tabs on my devices synced browser tabs, I'll read those

Major bug keeping this from the flawless 5 it deserves The Readability site itself still remains my favorite resource for distraction-free reading. The only fault with the Android app is how long it takes to pull new items to the reading list: articles added to the Reading List appear right away on the website, but it takes a few hours to show up on the app (even after swiping down to refresh or using the Re-Download All Articles function.) If this gets fixed it gets a 5 from me, because otherwise this is only good as an archive.

Will not sync with site. The Readability website provides a fantastic service that I've been making use of for years. The Android app, unfortunately, refuses to sync with its parent site. Rather, it will sync (or says it does), but my reading list remains empty. Fix this issue, and I'd give it five-stars, but until then, I'll need to look elsewhere.

Is This App Supposed to Work? If this app is supposed to work, I certainly can't make it do so. I've loaded versions on both my Note 2 and Ipad and neither will load the articles in my reading list. I've also loaded and re-loaded the app and started it over several times. It seems the best I can get is a constant 'syncing' animation on the Ipad version. That's pretty disappointing especially since I only have 5 articles in my list. JUNK!

Syncing problems prevent it from being as good as it could be Visually appealing, makes articles a joy to read. Unfortunately it has issues synchronizing my reading list. There is usually a 6-8 hour window between when I see queue the article to my reading list (and can read it in my web browser) and the time the app manages to download it.

Flawed... Syncing is screwed up, saving articles doesn't always work (Which is a big fail since that is the whole point of this app), it crashes frequently. Overall very disappointing app. Considering iOS version, they are capable of creating a good app but decided not to do that on android for whatever reason.

Big fan earlier ... but data usage issues now Have had readibility app for quite some time and love it. But last couple I have had some serious data consumption issues with readability. These last 15 days or so it consumed 1.43 Gb of my data from my plan! I have only enabled it on wifi now. But no idea why it would need to consume that much data. Seems like a serious bug! Fix it!

Hmmm... been trying out different "read it later" apps and i think i like this one. the problem is the lack of support for multiple websites. it rarely shows images from Tumblr, especially when viewing photosets. Since I use that site a lot, I'm definitely frustrated with this photoset/webpage viewing problem. And just today, I've noticed the app taking soooooo long to load articles. im starting to lose patience. it's a good app, but needs a lot of improvement in my opinion.
Great on computer and getting better on Android A must have for anyone who enjoys reading. The app is running much better now than earlier versions. Can sometimes be slow to load but I have 1k+ articles in my queue so that is understandable. Makea idle time much better with the ability to read from my saved files instead of wasting time with a zynga game.

Current version not functional The Readability Android app (v. 1.0.3) is very clean and nice for making articles easier to read on mobile, but it will not retrieve or add to my Reading List—a core feature—or even archived articles. I've logged in and out, uninstalled and re-installed it several times, and tried removing and adding articles. Nothing syncs. I would rather use Readability than any of the alternatives, but the app does me no good. On ZTE Supreme running 4.1.2.

Junk! Junk! Junk! This is such a lousy app, it's such a pain in the neck! I've installed and uninstalled and reinstalled this app many times and I just couldn't get it to work on my android devices. Is it just this stupid update that I've happened to install? Are there any previous good apk that I can download? This stupid app sucks!!!!! The read later tab never work, no matter what I do, idiot app!!!

Good but missing features Very handy app in combination with browser plugin and website. App makes for pleasant and convenient reading on tablet. Nice clean, quiet design and simple to use. Main complaint is that the app has no tagging feature. I mainly use this for articles archived after reading (rather than when saving to reading list), having to do this on a different device is a pain. Would also like annotation abilities.

Beautiful, but Imptracticle Readability got a major overhaul this winter. Its parsing engine remains top notch. A tool that transmorgifies webpages, stripping away distractions - returns legibility, usability, and dignity to the World Wide Web. Unfortunately Readability no longer reliably caches content to the user's device. The app spends more time pinging servers and juggling graphically intense transitions than displaying the desired article. "If it ain't broke, Don t fix it" -Buddha
GREAT app but fonts are not Big enough I'll start this off by saying I'm visually impaired, and on the highest text setting it's WAY too small. For most things I use Big Font and I'm on Gingerbread so no root needed. If you could DOUBLE the largest text size three would be amazing and I'll IMMEDIATELY give you 5 stars because you really deserve it, but as it stands it's incredibly difficult to read in the app. For reference I have big font set to 175% bigger words so I think you get the idea, thanks for a great program though!

No custom fonts, no "send to kindle" and bad refreshing. Readability used to be perfect but now I cannot use the fonts provided by readability. All my articles open in some random hideous font and which has forced me to switch to Pocket. Moreover the inability to send your articles to kindle, something present in the website, has made this an even more disappointing app. And refreshing is very slow, as compared to even your own iOS version of the app. You guys have an amazing iOS app, make this one like that too.
Video playback issue Could you fix issue with video playback. I see black screen while sound is playing?

Catch up with your competitors ! I love the web-based Readability service, especially the Top-Reads section. The problem is: look at the version history, it's been almost a year since the last update! The much reported syncing problem is still at large and unaddressed. And just comparing it with the Pocket service shows how much more active the Pocket team is. Come on! Make this better! We believe you could do it!

Download the official Mashable app, which alerts you whenever a story is starting to go viral, so that you'll know what everyone's talking about, before they're talking about it.
This beautiful design adapts responsively to your device's size, from a phone to a mini to a full-size tablet, so you can be assured the app will look great on whatever you're carrying.
And this app is smart: When you finish reading an article, the homepage is dynamically stitched in below the article. You don't need to keep clicking on the navigation to get around the app — it just knows where you'll want to go next and opens up a path for you. We know you expect this from us, and that's what we aimed to deliver.
When our Mashable Velocity algorithm predicts a story is about to go viral, we'll send an Android notification to you. But we have to warn you, it's pretty addicting. Just promise us that you'll read the one story that you're notified about, and then you'll actually get back to work.
