Understand your Social Networking Bill of Rights [Infographics]
We all have started to share most of the stuff in our life online via Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and now Pinterest. As a result so much information about someone’s attitude, likes and relations is available online that employers have started to check and notice the online identities about the person. They often just check your Facebook and Twitter profile so judge what kind of person you are. Some employers have recently found asking about your Facebook account passwords and all.
Before you share this kind of personal information and give ownership of your account (even slightly), understand what are your Bill of Rights in this social networking era.
Opinion:
In my opinion, no matter how prospective the employer is, I will never share my personal profile passwords with them. No matter I get the job or not. If the future employer can’t trust me on my words, then I don’t want to work with them. I have full right to share whatever I like on social networks and it has (should not) nothing to do with my employer and the job.
