Is it a good idea to create a Google+ Page for photographers?
Is it really a good idea to create a Business Page for photographers?
I was in the process of establishing online presence for my photography website. I created Twitter, Facebook fan page and also created a Google+ Page. But I am having second thoughts about the idea of a Google+ Page though.
Here is my thought process:
1. As a photographer, I am the business. So essentially my personal profile is in fact my business profile. Why would I confuse people going to two different locations on web, when they can just know me as a photographer.
2. Creating a page means that I need to separately grow it to have followers and all. (Another advantage of sticking to my personal profile.)
3. All people who knew me personally as a photographer will now go to a separate page, that they may or may not recognize or associate with me.
4. In my opinion for any business that is run by the owner’s name shouldn’t create a separate business page on Google+.
What do you think? What are your views about it? What do you see as a shortcoming of not having a separate business page in this case?
I agree with you. Dave Powell of Shoottokyo built up profile on G plus.
