5 easy ways to get sale and price drop alerts

Worst thing about online shopping is that you can never be sure that you got the best deal.  Most of the time it happens that you always find a better deal after you have purchased the item.

With so much competition in online shopping, there is always some coupon you could use or some other online merchant is offering a better price.  How do you make sure that you always get the best deal?

Once again use of technology comes to rescue. Set up alerts for things you want to buy and let the internet work for you. You can keep checking deal sites like slickdeals and deals2buy to see what is on sale. Or let these 5 tools do the trick and find when the price drops or the item goes on sale.

1. Invisible Hand

Install Invisible Hand Chrome extension first.  Once installed it will show you in the top bar if the item you are about to buy is the best deal.  Invisible hand will also tell you if there is a better deal somewhere else or if there is any coupon you could use.

It remains hidden until it finds a deals for you on a product page.  It looks for better deals on hotels, flights and other hidden deals retailers might be offering but not opening promoting.

2. Shopping Notes

Never miss a sale again…get alerts when the item goes on sale or the price drops.  Just enter the URL of the product page or search for it in Google, enter your email address to receive alerts.

3. Zingsale

ZingSale is a free service that helps you save money on all of the stuff you want to buy! Just tell it what you want and receive an alert when it goes on sale.  It’s a fun, easy and free way to save money!

4. PricePinx

Pricepinx is about saving money.  Tell it the products you want to buy online, it will monitor the prices and notify you by email about price drops as they happen. So easy!

5. Slickdeals

Slickdeals is the best place I know so far to get great deals.  Electronics, software, household items, magazine subscriptions and everything else you want.  It is a community driven site.  People like you and me submit deals to this forum and everyone gets benefited.  There are mobile apps as well for Android and iPhone.  A great shopping tool to find great deals.

Some of these tools can help you save a lot of money.  A little bit of planning beforehand will be beneficial.  If you are more of an impromtu buyer, then besides Invisible Hand these tools won’t help.  They can help only if you are planning to buy something for a good price.  If you are looking for gifts for Christmas, Mothers Day or Dad’s day etc., these tools can go hand in hand and save you really handsome money.
